Snow Wake

I posted more on my photoblog with more views from our home of the snow, plus some critters dealing with the snow.

Bill emailed and is glad to be home with Heather and Will.

Oh my!!! I'm away from the blog for a few days and you post a ton . . . OF SNOW!!! Incredible! Our late snows were "cement snows" and I just noticed this eve that our redwood (planted out on arbor day by the builder's son when they lived here 18+ years ago) has broken branches previously unnoticed. You're lucky Monty knocks the snow off for you. I was out with a broom during the last two storms. But, happily those are a distant memory. : D

Today was HOT (only low 80s but felt hot). The garden will need lots of watering -- a labor of love around here.

I'm all caught up on your blog. that is an ADORABLE little babe. Praise the Lord daddy is home to meet his son. (I just wiped away a tear.) Lots of prayers and praises for you and your sweet family. XO!

p.s.
I'm having fun with my Bosch, but am needing to learn a few new techniques. My last batch of bread was a foursome and they collapsed a bit in the oven. Tastes GREAT but the girls laughed when I said it looks like nasty little oven gnomes got in and sat all over my bread. Any thoughts? Too much yeast or too much kneading? I'll keep experimenting.

Karey, The pictures were amazing. Thank you. While checking out your "Snow Wake" photos I decided to look at your other photos for April as well. I am so drawn to the felting and needle felting pieces and have been since I first experienced yours. I cannot get to you or your classes because alas you are so far from me. Would you please share a book or books that I can check out of the library or buy that would teach me? Sincerely, Amy Fry

Karey,

I just popped over to your photo blog . . . HOW HAVE I MISSED THIS BEFORE NOW!!! Fabulous! I was particularly thrilled to have faces to put to names (and surprised how accurately my imagination "imagined" all of you from the reading of your book).

I spent last night rereading sections of H&H and now I can actually SEE the felt crafting you do. Amazing! I can't wait to show my girls. I need a snowstorm of multiple feet to affrod me the opportunity to read your blog from post #1. It will be a treat . . . someday (but sadly not on this sunny summer-like day around here).

I am WAY overtime on my blogging (I've gotta be strict or I could fall in for a day there's so much to see), so I'll be off just now. Back later. ; D
