Many years ago (late 90s) I worked with a pediatrician who was doing a fellowship at Boston's Children's Hospital. Part of his study was participation in a Cholesterol study. He told me one night that the "fact" that the body's cholesterol level can be attributed to the foods we eat and that high levels were dangerous was the biggest lie ever perpetrated.
Wow, and that was just the beginning of the lie. If he knew that back then, being part of a prestigious research team, then what has happened over the past years? Who was most responsible for perpetuating this lie? Was it on purpose or just plain stupidity?
Things I used to think were crazy, I no longer do. I no longer listen to the "experts". I am the expert on my own body. Isn't that neat? And then it leads to other discoveries - self discovery rather than being taught. Realization that comes from within instead of from an external authority. Wow, it's a brand new life!!
I am so sorry to have to use word verification - I hate them myself. But I'm getting too many spam comments and this is supposed to eliminate them. Maybe this will just be needed for awhile . . .
